Personal Accountability 2K15!
If you put something down concretely (hand-written, drawn, published electronically, or even visually-- through images) it is there to remind you of whatever was important enough for you to communicate it in the first place! Or...that is what communication used to be for.
Some take communication so non-nonchalantly now. They post regrettable crude words or images (they might much rethink later or even in moments). Editing is truly an art. You should not put your name on anything you don't put real effort into. I try to tell my students this every semester and have learned it myself!
That quote is particularly powerful! You can share information all day long. However, to truly get people to understand you, you must communicate (and well). Poor communication reflects on you negatively, in all aspects of life!
What if you could "trick" yourself into accountability through this communication though?
I don't post every article, thing I read/ think is interesting on Facebook. If there is something I am truly passionate about, I might share it there. However, Facebook seems so impersonal to me. There are some people who do only have 150 friends, but if you have upwards of 500+ notifications that you are "pissed" at your boss or having a "shitty" day come off as unprofessional to dum dum dum...potential future bosses, friends, relatives, etc...And do you REALLY even have 150 "confidants?"
Unless you are the lead writer on Jezebel, Chelsea Handler, or are in a position to not have to care about your future (ie: Donald Trump or an already uber successful entrepreneur), you should probably think before posting that status, sending to your follows, tweeting, or publishing what could really be rubbish.
Instead, perhaps try what I have been lately successful with! I'm posting daily workouts and positive moments (studying, relaxing, healthy meal prep) to Instagram. It is an instant image and it has worked in holding me accountable thus far! I did this last year too and was successful with weight loss.
Also, try out myfitnesspal or some other site like that if you want to lose weight or maintain a healthy lifestyle. It is FREE.
No excuses. It is soooo cold right now, which did in fact keep me from going to the gym yesterday.
I did make a YouTube playlist and danced, did jumping jacks, and sit-ups: Feel Good Playlist!
But, it didn't feel like as big of an accomplishment. I am aware though and WILL go to the gym today!
When I finally can save money & not just pay bills again, I really want one of these trampolines with bungees & a stability handle vs. springs: JumpSport Fitness Trampolines with Stabilizing Handle!
